She graduated with a Gemmology Diploma (FGA) from the Gemmology Association of Great Britain (Gem-A) in London, England and from the International Gemmological Institute (IGI) in Antwerp, Belgium. Additionally, she participated in courses such as Pearl Grader, Rough Diamond Grader at the International Gemmological Institute (IGI), Advance Pearls, Gem Identification Lab class at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and Precious Gemstones at Swiss Gemmological Institute (SSEF) in Basel, Switzerland and Synthetic gemstones at the Asian Institute of Gemological Sciences (AIGS), in Bangkok, Thailand. 

Phornthip has worked several years in both jewellery and numismatic environment in Zurich. She is continually looking for new ways to grow her passion.
